Automation… and a Happy Speech on Thanksgiving

25Nov10

You know who should be paid?  Computer techs and programmers.  Fucking backbone of modern society, bar none.   You know who should be automated?  Bankers.  Stock traders, the vast bunch of middle men whores making interest on transactions a computer could make.  Point and click baby.  It’s only numbers after all.   Legalized gambling and the bankers and crooked politicians are the house.  You  know what lawyers do? They retain and communicate a lot of information.  You know what also does that?  Computers.  Why can I look up the majority of illnesses on the internet and almost diagnose myself with some accuracy but when it comes to the laws of society it’s still this black magic one need to pay a witch doctor to speak his voo doo just to have justice served.  Perhaps there are too many laws.  Perhaps fewer laws have to be put on the people and more have to be put on the financial sector.  More on the politicians.  Would it be so bad to have a guillotine in front of the senate building?   Gallows at the rear of the House floor?  A reminder of how populist’s wrath can be.  Yet we all know once you make a certain amount of money you are above the law.  No one gets nailed for treason anymore.  Nope, once you’re a good ole boy, as long as you not an uber greedy moron you can do whatever you’d like.   Just as long as those niggers and spic fill the jails for slinging refer we’re giving the world some illusion that there is justice within the borders.  The trailer trash you keep fenced in economically. They are like farm bred votes.  Pigs that will eat and roll in whatever shit you throw at them.

I’m not saying that there is no need for these glorified suits.  Just saying we could use a lot less of them and wondering how they have protected themselves from automation.  Seriously, the financial industry takes knowledge, but more than an engineer? Professor? Computer Programmer?   They should be getting paid like the pencil pushing clerks they are for their service which is minimal compared to the profit they make from it.  It’s an atmosphere of greed made up of a populace that don’t really know real work.  Stressful? Maybe.  Long hours?  Perhaps.  I know most of the worlds working people are not going to hear those cries though.  Still wouldn’t considerate a real job.  They have us convinced that thet are somehow needed when one has machines making cars, robots staring in plays. No, they are certainly not worth the money they will eventually make and giving that type of money and power to such people will perpetuate the same cycle and again.   You cannot give such jobs to the terminally greedy.  They will eventually get into politics to play the games further.   Meanwhile people who work harder, those with more education, those more patriotic, those who serve, are paid less and get to feel the repercussion of the service economy greed.   Sure laws might be put in to prevent  this all from happening again but that has happened already and those laws slowly evaporated out of the publics consciousness and then existence and the good ole boys did it again.  I believe it’s time to stop automating industry and start automating Wall Street.

We were lucky to survive.  Wars that induced heavy industry and a president, unpopular at the time  forced laws that would make morons scream “communism” down the peoples throats.  It made for a glorious middle class. A group that forgot that people had to suffer for it.  Who knows how many died or lived wishing to.  Men at war, starving immigrants, starving farmers.  A generation went through hell just so we could do it all over again.  I can feel them roll in their graves.  An earthquake in my soul.  I can feel nothing but shame.

Now we will sit, turkey on the table, on the day our nation sets aside to give thanks.  And many will bitch.  They will bitch about the economy. This party, that party, the president.  They will talk about China, North Korea, Dancing with the Stars and the Jersey Shore.   They wont be thankful and mean it.  They wont take their fair share of the responsibility nor question their own actions or lack there of  that preceded these hard times.   Won’t be thankful that they are not in Iran, Zimbabwe or Ireland.  No the will pity themselves.  They will blame others. They will be on line at some chain store owned by some conglomerate that may or may not have had an negative impact on the economy, hoping to buy more Chinese made goods.  Instead of doing what this one holiday asks. What our ancestors believed, just to sit and be thankful.  Most will be merely coveting what they don’t have.   Don’t be like that.   But, do shop your ass off.  The economy need the money hoarders to let go some doe.  Just, try to keep some spirit alive and refrain from stampeding fellow shoppers.

Happy Thanksgiving or if your Native American,  National “Don’t Talk to Strangers” Day
